Gryphon's Hoard LTD
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. About Us and These Terms
Gryphon's Hoard LTD (“Gryphon's Hoard”, “we”, “us” or “our”) sells jewellery through gryphonshoard.co.uk.
We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17247472 and registered for VAT under GB521050059.
Email: info@gryphonshoard.co.uk
Our registered office, geographical business address and other statutory company information are provided in our Legal Notice.
These Terms govern your use of our website and purchases from us. Our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy also apply where relevant.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
2. Using Our Website and Customer Accounts
You may browse without creating an account.
You must provide accurate contact, delivery and payment information when ordering. Keep any account credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must not misuse our website, interfere with its security, introduce malicious code or infringe others' rights.
You must be legally capable of entering into a contract to purchase from us. We may restrict access to our website for security or lawful operational reasons, without affecting existing orders or statutory rights.
3. Products and Descriptions
We aim to describe and photograph jewellery accurately, including material, size, weight and finish where relevant.
Screen settings and natural variations in materials can affect appearance. These statements do not alter your right to receive goods that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for their intended purpose.
Availability may change. One-off, pre-loved and individually finished jewellery will be identified as such in product descriptions. We will disclose material condition information before purchase.
Descriptions of precious-metal content and any applicable hallmarking information must be accurate.
4. Orders and Contract Formation
Placing an order is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order, not necessarily acceptance.
A contract is formed when we expressly accept your order, normally through a dispatch confirmation, unless we clearly communicate acceptance earlier.
Payment may be authorised or collected before acceptance. If we cannot accept an order, we will refund any amount taken promptly.
We may decline orders where stock is unavailable, payment is not authorised, a genuine pricing error occurs or fraud is reasonably suspected. We will explain and refund as required by law.
You retain applicable cancellation rights even after order acceptance.
5. Pre-Orders
Certain jewellery products may be available to pre-order before they are ready for dispatch.
Payment and Availability
Full payment is collected at checkout when a pre-order is placed.
Pre-order availability may be limited, and placing a pre-order does not guarantee that a product can be supplied if circumstances beyond our reasonable control affect availability.
If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact you and provide the refund or other remedy required by law.
Estimated Dispatch
The estimated dispatch date will be displayed before purchase.
Our current pre-order collection is expected to begin dispatching from 2 November 2026.
Estimated dispatch dates are not guaranteed delivery dates. We will comply with agreed delivery deadlines and applicable consumer law.
Delays
If we anticipate a significant delay, we will contact affected customers with an updated estimate and explain their options, including cancellation and a refund where applicable.
Cancellations and Returns
Customers may request cancellation of a pre-order before dispatch by contacting info@gryphonshoard.co.uk.
Statutory cancellation rights, including applicable rights to cancel before delivery, remain unaffected.
Our Return and Refund Policy explains the applicable cancellation periods, exclusions and additional voluntary 30-day returns offer.
Further Information
Please see our Pre-Order Information page for additional details about pre-order payments, dispatch and delivery.
6. Prices, VAT and Payment
Consumer prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include applicable UK VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.
Delivery charges and the total payable will be shown before you confirm your order.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
We may change future prices but will not retrospectively increase the agreed price of an accepted order.
If an obvious pricing or listing error is discovered, we will contact you before proceeding where necessary. Nothing here permits us to override your statutory rights.
7. Delivery, Risk and Ownership
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.
Delivery methods, charges, geographic restrictions and estimated delivery times are described in our Shipping Policy and at checkout.
We will meet any delivery deadline agreed with you and applicable legal requirements.
For consumer purchases, goods generally remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession, or that of a person you identify to receive them.
Handing a parcel to our carrier does not by itself transfer risk to you. The legal position may differ where you independently commission a carrier not offered by us.
Ownership passes once the goods have been paid for in full and delivered, subject to applicable law.
If delivery is delayed or lost, contact us so we can investigate and provide the remedy required by law.
We cannot exclude responsibility simply because a delivery company caused the problem.
8. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Automated Order Cancellation
Where available, customers may request cancellation through their Shopify customer account within 15 minutes of placing an order, subject to the order's fulfilment status.
This automated cancellation facility is separate from, and does not restrict, statutory cancellation rights.
Customers may contact info@gryphonshoard.co.uk after the automated window has expired to exercise any applicable cancellation rights.
Statutory and Voluntary Returns
Our Return and Refund Policy explains the statutory 14-day distance-selling cancellation right for eligible goods and our additional voluntary 30-day change-of-mind return offer.
It also explains faulty-goods remedies, return-postage responsibilities and our optional return-postage store-credit reward.
The voluntary postage reward is separate from statutory refunds.
Eligible postage credit equals evidenced postage actually paid, capped by the relevant Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm Post Office counter rate for the parcel weight and appropriate available compensation tier at the time of posting.
The voluntary credit lasts 12 months and may apply to partial returns, subject to our Return and Refund Policy.
Royal Mail tariff or compensation changes cannot reduce statutory consumer rights.
Courier compensation terms govern claims against the carrier; they do not override any refund or remedy that Gryphon's Hoard is legally obliged to provide.
Full details are provided in our Return and Refund Policy.
9. Bespoke and Personalised Jewellery
Where jewellery is genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised, the statutory change-of-mind cancellation exception may apply.
We will identify any applicable exception before the order is placed.
A standard size, ordinary stock variation or supplier special order is not automatically bespoke for this purpose.
Bespoke specifications, prices, expected timescales and any required approval stages will be confirmed before purchase.
Nothing in this section affects your rights where goods are faulty, misdescribed or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
10. Promotions, Gift Cards and Store Credit
Promotions, gift cards and voluntary store credit may be subject to additional clearly disclosed conditions.
They do not replace statutory refunds or other mandatory remedies.
We will not apply new terms retrospectively to deprive you of an existing contractual entitlement.
Any separate store-credit rules, including the 12-month return-postage credit validity, will be clearly communicated before credit is issued.
11. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
Website text, photographs, designs and branding are owned by us or used with permission, except where otherwise stated.
You may use the website for ordinary personal shopping purposes.
You must not reproduce our content commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.
References to third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners.
12. Reviews, Feedback and Third-Party Services
If you submit a review or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is not unlawful or misleading.
You permit us to display and reasonably use that content in connection with our business, subject to applicable privacy and intellectual-property law.
We will disclose material incentives where required and will not condition statutory rights on providing a review.
Our website uses Shopify and may link to third-party websites or payment services. Those providers may have their own terms.
We remain the seller responsible for your purchase from Gryphon's Hoard. Using a third-party service does not remove our legal obligations.
13. Privacy and Cookies
Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy and relevant cookie notices.
Shopify provides the platform used to operate our store and may process information in connection with its services.
Please review our Privacy Policy for further information.
14. Liability and Consumer Rights
We do not exclude or restrict liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights.
Nothing in these Terms excludes our obligations to supply goods as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, or your rights to applicable refunds, repairs, replacements or other legal remedies.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for business losses arising from purchases made as a consumer, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms for future website use and orders.
The version applicable to an order is ordinarily the version in effect when that order was placed, unless a lawful variation is expressly agreed.
We will give any notice required by law. Changes do not remove rights already accrued.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections that apply to them.
Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
Please contact info@gryphonshoard.co.uk first if you have a concern.
We will seek to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
Nothing here restricts access to courts or other rights provided by law.
17. Shopify Platform
Our store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform through which we offer our products.
The contract for the purchase of jewellery from Gryphon's Hoard is between you and Gryphon's Hoard LTD. Shopify is not the seller of our jewellery.
Our use of Shopify or other third-party services does not remove or reduce the consumer rights or obligations that apply to your purchase from us.
